Opportunities for decarbonization of river transport in the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway

The Inter-American Development Bank, OLADE and the Hidrovia Intergovernmental Committee organize a workshop in order to report on the institutional framework of the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway and present the main findings of the study “Analysis of fuel substitution of the transportation system Fluvial of the Paraguay – Paraná Waterway ”carried out by IDB and OLADE. One of the objectives of this public presentation is to exchange reflections on the aforementioned study by stakeholders, both public and private, and recommendations on the next steps..

The workshop will be carried out through two webinars that will be broadcast simultaneously by Globalports Canal on Youtube, broadcast in Spanish, Portuguese and English. The workshop can also be followed by social networks.

There will be two virtual sessions of 2 hours each on November 10 and 12. Each session will have moderation and panelists. A channel will be enabled for each language (Spanish, Portuguese and English). Questions and comments will be received in the ‘chat’ space of the communication platform.
